Rocky Mountain National Park

Today we drove up into the Rocky Mountain National Park and hiked up a wonderfully scenic trail that started out by Bear lake and continued past Nymph Lake, Dream Lake, and ended at Emerald Lake.  The hike was recommended by Ann Louise and did not disappoint.

 We were supposed to camp in the park but it was raining off and on all day and thunderstorms were forecast in the late afternoon and evening, so we took Ann Louise up on her offer and returned to Loveland for the night.  Here are some highlights from the hike.

By the way, we were not offering this little guy any food.  He was nonetheless extremely hopeful.
