We had fun visiting with Hank & Gay and the girls especially enjoyed playing with the dogs, Lucy and Roger.
We drove by my parents' old house in Apple Valley. The owners have taken out my mom's beautiful split rail fence with espaliered pyracantha and replaced it with a mediocre-looking picket fence, but other than that the house and yard are looking good. It brought back a lot of memories!
After lunch we headed down Anaheim in anticipation of our intense Disneyland day on Sunday. We got there early enough for the girls to enjoy the pool briefly. P & S came down to go to Disneyland with us and stayed in the hotel across the street from us, so we had a blast hanging out for the evening.
We found a restaurant in Downtown Disney that serves Spanish tortilla and paella (A was super excited to have some comfort food from home!) She said the paella was not as good as the paella her dad makes at home (this is unsurprising) however when she talked to her dad on the phone she told him that the restaurant paella was better. Hmmm......
